Happy New Year!

Guess what this is. It looks like a heart, yes. But guess what it is.

IT’S A PEANUT.

I cracked open a heart-shaped peanut you guys, and my whole entire day has been made with this tiny little thing. When I ran out of friends, family members, and contacts in my WA list to gush about it, I just knew it had to be my first blog post of this year. I don’t even eat peanuts usually, just the ones that are still in their natural brown cases because there’s some suspense value attached to those (clearly). Anyway, I was having some with my afternoon tea, and this little delight popped up. It has now found a place in my jewelry box, and is now my most favorite peanut in this whole entire world. Peanut, say hi to readers; readers say hi to peanut.

Okay, I will stop with my peanut excitement (for now).

How is everyone? How went the holidays? I know I’ve been MIA friends, but life has been such (I could write all of it, but that’s not the story you’re waiting for). Moreover I’m 5x lazier in winter months, and the work I am obligated to finish is also done with the enthusiasm of a polar bear. There’s just too many layers on the self to be motivated to do much in life. But while I’m literally back with peanuts instead of an update, it’s a new year, new beginnings, etc. therefore I am honestly going to try and get more writing done this year.

Wishing you good luck and good health this year, wherever you are. Stay safe, stay sane.

Love,

Sabi

*P.S. I don’t know if polar bears are in fact lazy tbh. And I wouldn’t dare to find out. Last time I got curious about this one little detail on penguins, and ended up watching four hours of Nat Geo documentaries on the Antarctic. No regrets though, penguins are the cutest.

  2. My best friend has this uncanny ability to spot heart everywhere, clouds, waves, droplets falling on the kitchen counter from the wok, literally everywhere. But, a peanut? Like seriously? 😁

  4. Hahaha.. that looks so cute, Sabi! You know I found a near shrivelled potato hidden in a corner of my vegetable basket on Christmas day.. the roots had sprouted in such a way that it almost completely resembled a reindeer.. I told every single person who called that day about my christmas miracle 😄.. unfortunately couldn’t keep it beyond two days 😅 I still have a six year old lemon in my gift box though.. it surprisingly turned stone like instead of rotting away and served as a source to annoy my roommate back then (plus I was thoroughly obsessed with Omorobati’s Of lemons and limes then..so that was another one of my cosmic coincidences 😋)

And yes.. winters definitely are an exception to all work norms! So very patiently waiting for the next update.. 😇

Wish you lots of luck, health, joy and laughter this new year!! Stay safe. ❤️

    Lots of love,
    Namrata

P.S. dunno how lazy polar bears are but any mention of penguin documentaries remind me of Benedict Cumberbatch 😅

    1. Now I want to see that potato of yours. Wish it had made it to the new year. And lemons have a thing for hardening and becoming proper weapons instead of rotting (which is a very deep philosophical message for mankind in a way). But see, I like the way you think. We connect on more than the subject-that-shall-not-be-named. I once stored rain water as a kid for a good three years because I associated sentimental value to it (it was the same rain water that poured down on August 15 and I happened to be feeling particularly patriotic so I put some in a bottle and let it collect bacteria inside my house for some few years until one day my mother discovered it and chucked my patriotic sentiments into the nearest dustbin).

    1. You ARE hearing from the other Raizada, at this point 😂 If I had known of the degree of foreshadowing, I would have probably never posted the story.
Bestest wishes to you too Gauri. Saranghae! 🤗❤😘

  16. Hi Sabi!
Now that winters are gone and the spring has approached, hope you come out of your polar bear mood soon and give us an update.. The untold stories have reached to a point where most of the stories are told (that is what i guess)
More than 4 months since last update.. Hope you’re safe in all these typical times.. Come back soon with a longggg update

  17. I love all your stories, you are a gifted writer. You have a way with humour that rarely is well translated in writing.
But I recently saw a plot of story uncannily similar to yours, so I would hope that you can make this blog private to avoid anyone copying it. I wouldn’t want your work to be plagiarized.
